Why Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy can be phenomenally successful where other forms of therapeutic intervention fail. The reason is because it directly accesses that part of your mind that’s causing the problem, the deeper seated and more instinctive part, your unconscious. By utilising specific therapeutic techniques, I aim to find the cause of your issue's or problem and 'reprogram' unwanted behaviour to create a new, more positive solution.

What happens in a session?

Once you are seated comfortably, I begin to gently relax you both physically and mentally by utilising my voice, skill and your imagination. However, you will remain alert enough to be aware. Also awake will be those parts of your mind that I need to work on to induce beneficial changes. After the session you may say to me that 'I heard every word you said,' or 'I did not feel hypnotised.' Do not worry as this is perfectly normal and in fact you only have to reach a light trance state in order for us to work on achieving your goals.

How does it work?

As mentioned above, the main requirement to enter into a hypnotic trance is relaxation. This gradual process happens by you letting yourself go whilst concentrating on my voice. Eventually when both your body and the conscious part of your mind have been sufficiently relaxed the normal barriers to the subconscious part of the mind slacken. This allows the subconscious to become receptive to positive suggestions. These new powerful ideas then re-programme your mind to bring about your desired goals.
